Hosts

Kyle Frazier

Kyle came to the solar industry from a background in commercial real estate, where he helped business owners innovate, create, and implement new ideas and concepts. Most companies need to catalyze innovation and excitement by collaborating and sharing ideas. Kyle connects his passion for innovation and technology with his corporate experience through the Austin iLab, which gives him the opportunity to discuss innovation with some of the brightest minds in central Texas. As the co-founder of an internet company himself, Kyle loves the excitement surrounding start-ups and innovative business ideas.

Kyle enjoys anything outdoors but especially enjoys running or competing in local races. Whether it’s the Austin Marathon or the Turkey Trot, there is nothing better than a well run race! Both Kyle and his wife Jennifer are actively involved in non-profit work. After living in Argentina for a couple of years, they have a special heart for anything Argentine. More recently, the title “Dad” has been added to Kyle’s resume. This job involves spending his free time chasing his two kids around and he wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Stuart Frazier

Stuart was an early adopter and strong advocate of the search engine optimization and social media space. After graduating from college he co-founded and managed a start-up. Stuart can teach you a lot about living on a salary of less than $10,000 per year! His passion for growing companies through a constantly evolving social media space led him to work with Masterlink Interactive in Dallas, a creative agency that builds, brands, and develops online presence for companies.

While Stuart made the three hour commute to work in Dallas each week, he left his heart in Austin. Literally. His wife Catherine was in the middle of Governor Perry’s re-election campaign. They made it work, and now Stuart is back in Austin as the SEO/Social Media Manager for RMMonline.

Producers

Calvin Cohen

Calvin hails from Los Angeles, and relocated to Austin only a short time ago. With each new exciting location, interesting person, and delicious meal he discovers, Calvin wishes he’d moved to Austin a lot sooner. Everywhere he looks, something new and innovative is happening.

His work as a producer on the Austin iLab radio show marks his first foray into radio, although he has had an entertainment background since his childhood. He lugged lighting and sound cables at his father’s lighting company, ran a video company that recorded local community productions during high school, and technically directed the Theater for Charity group in college. Most recently Calvin wrote for a production company in Los Angeles.

Calvin has also lived in Washington, D.C. for a year where he worked primarily in the nonprofit and governmental spheres and binged on historical landmarks and museums. He recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in History. His freetime is consumed with cooking, reading, running, and writing, as well as apathetically supporting his favorite teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, and Cal Bears.

Jon Ellison

Jon loves the culture and the climate of Austin. After working and traveling in the developing world he developed a passion for renewable energy, so his favorite Austin iLab guests are the companies that are innovating in that space in central Texas. He’s a lawyer, but not that kind of lawyer.
